ACMS Principal Sarah Tanner-Anderson and Assistant Principal Jonathan Cummins
Dr. Tanner-Anderson is an Amelia native and proud product of Amelia County Public Schools ('99). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts ('02) in English and Master of Arts ('07) in English, Education, and Writing from Longwood University and a Doctor of Education ('14) in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from The George Washington University. She has experience teaching middle- and high-school English, dual enrollment composition and literature courses, and education and development courses at the college level. Dr. Tanner-Anderson is thrilled to serve as Principal of Amelia County Middle School and looks forward to working with teachers, staff, parents, and the community to promote academic excellence and citizen leadership for the students of Amelia County.
ACMS Assistant Principal
Mr. Cummins is a native of Colonial Heights, VA. He obtained his Bachelor of Science ('05) in Health and Physical Education and Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Education ('12) in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. He was an administrator in Henrico County and has experience teaching elementary, middle and high-school Health and Physical Education. Mr. Cummins is excited to continue as Assistant Principal of Amelia County Middle School and looks forward to promoting a positive, respectful environment in which to learn richly.
