About The Teacher

This will be my 13th year at Amelia County Middle School, and I have also
taught in Henrico County and Chesapeake Virginia. I have taught kindergarten,
5th, 6th and 7th grade. This will be my 1st year in 8th grade!

I have 3 boys of my own of whom I am very proud. My boys attend school in
Powhatan. (Because that is where we live and they have grown up-I am asked
every year...multiple times!) My boys are active in scouting and my older two
march with the high school band. I am on the band boosters board.

We share our house with 4 cats, and 1 dog.

I was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. I attended Old Dominion
University where I received my Bachelors (BS-IDS) and my Masters (MS-
Education). I am certified to teach preschool through eighth grade.

I look forward to a fantastic year!

Mission For The Class

My mission for our class is for all of us to work together to have a
successful eigth grade year. That requires hard work on the part not only
of me as the teacher, but for the students and parents as well. I will
provide a safe, positive and stable learning environment for your child.

Lines of honest communication must be open at all time between home and
school. Hard work and independence is required of each student. Each child
is responsible for only him or herself.

We all need to do the BEST that we can do and then we should be the BEST
person we can be!
