I am the Special Education Teacher of Applied Adapted Curriculum. This is my 19th year in education. I previously taught in the general education classroom for 16 years in North Carolina. When my family relocated to Virginia in 2016, I taught for 1 year in 1st grade. Then I decided to persue my dream of working with special needs students. I started working on my Masters Degree in Special Education. I enrolled in Grand Canyon University. While I worked on my degree, I served as a special education paraprofessional in Buckingham County Public Schools. I completed my degree in May 2019. I started as a co-lab teacher at Amelia County High School in August of 2019. Now I am proudly serving as part of the Special Education team at Amelia County Middle School.
