Hello, ACMS Families! My name is Sherry Spurlock, and I am excited and honored to serve as your assistant principal.
I received a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Old Dominion University and earned a master’s degree in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. I have thirteen years of experience as a special education teacher at Amelia County Middle School and was honored as Amelia County Middle School’s Teacher of the Year in 2016. For the past six years, I have served the students of Amelia County Middle School as the Special Education Coordinator.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia and moved to Amelia County in 2002. I am a wife and mother of three. I enjoy spending time with my family and volunteering in my community as a leader for my daughter's Girl Scout Troop.
My goal as your assistant principal is to ensure that all students feel safe and welcome at school. I will strive to build positive relationships with students, staff and community members to create a safe and secure environment. I am looking forward to a fantastic year working with staff, students, and families to sew the seeds of Raider PRIDE!
